Latching Arm) US Provisional Application No. 62, 457, 150; and August 23, 2017, the name of the application is "Narrow Width Adapters And Connectors with Modular Latching Arm" U.S. Provisional Application No. 62/546,920; US Application No. 62/2017, entitled "Narrow Width Adapters And Connectors with Modular Latching Arm" Provisional Application No. 62/452,147; US Provisional Application dated December 6, 2016, "Narrow Width Adapters And Connectors with Spring Loaded Remote Release" Application No. 62/430,560; and the name of the application on December 5, 2016 is "Narrow width with spring loaded distal release" US provisional application and device connectors (Narrow Width Adapters And Connectors with Spring Loaded Remote Release) "of 62 / 430,067, and each application is added here fully incorporated by reference.

The present disclosure relates generally to connectors having remote release portions, and more particularly to narrow width adapters and connectors, such as narrow pitch transparent connector (LC) duplex adapters and narrow width multi-fiber connectors.

The popularity of the Internet has made communication networks grow unprecedentedly. Consumer demand for services and increasing competition have forced network providers to continually seek ways to improve service quality while reducing costs.

Some workarounds include configuring a high-density interconnect panel. High-density interconnect panels can be designed to ensure that the ever-increasing interconnect volume required to support this fast-growth network becomes a compact form factor, thereby increasing service quality and reducing costs such as floor space and support surcharges. However, the configuration of high-density interconnect panels has not been fully implemented.

In a communication network, such as in a data center and a switching network, a plurality of interconnects between the mating connectors can be tightened to form a high density panel. Panel and connector manufacturers can optimize these high densities by reducing the size of the connectors and/or the spacing between adjacent connectors on the panel. While both methods are effective for increasing panel connector density, reducing connector size and/or spacing also increases support costs and reduces service quality.

In a high-density panel configuration, adjacent connectors and cable assemblies can block access to the independent release mechanism. The physical obstacle reduces the ability of an operator to reduce the stress applied to the cables and the connectors. For example, these stresses are applied when a user enters a dense set of connectors and uses his/her thumb and forefinger to push the surrounding fibers and connectors away to access a separate connector release mechanism. Excessive stress on the cables and connectors can create potential defects that can compromise the integrity and/or reliability of such terminals and can cause severe damage to network performance.

Although an operator may attempt to access a set of dense connectors and actuate a release mechanism using a tool such as a screwdriver, the adjacent cables and connectors may obstruct the operator's line of sight, so it is difficult to push the phases apart. The tool is guided to the release mechanism in the case of an adjacent cable. Moreover, directing the tool to the release mechanism is a time consuming process even when the operator has a clear line of sight. Therefore, using a tool is not effective for reducing support time and increasing service quality.

Small Form Factor Pluggable Transceivers (SFPs), known as Ethernet switches and/or patch hubs, are currently used in rack-mounted copper-to-fiber media converters in telecom infrastructure. ). Because of the limited space available for these infrastructures, Ethernet and fiber optic connections, these devices are rapidly evolving to increase connection density. Although fiber optic connectors have become smaller and smaller over the years, they have not been designed to be smaller than SFPs that require insertion into a typical size and are readily available. However, as transceiver technology evolves, smaller SFPs will be used to generate higher density switching and/or patch hub devices. Therefore, there is a need for fiber optic connectors that can meet the future development needs of smaller SFPs.

Unintentional separation, uninterrupted transmission through surrounding connectors, etc. Various embodiments also provide narrow pitch LC duplex connectors and narrow width multi-fiber connectors for use with, for example, future narrow pitch LC SFPs and future narrow width SFPs. The remote release mechanism allows for the use of such narrow pitch LC duplex connectors and narrow width multi-fiber connectors in dense narrow pitch LC SFP and narrow width multi-fiber SFP arrays.

Figure 1A shows a perspective view of a conventional standard 6.25 mm pitch LC connector SFP100. The SFP100 is configured to receive a duplex connector and provides two sockets 102 for receiving an LC connector. The spacing 104 is defined as the inter-axis distance between the central longitudinal axes of the sockets of the two receptacles 102. FIG. 1B shows a perspective view of a conventional standard 6.25 mm pitch LC adapter 106. The adapter 106 is also configured to receive a duplex connector and provides two sockets 108 for receiving an LC connector. 1C is a top plan view of the adapter 106 of FIG. 1B. The distance between the adapters 106 is similar to the distance between the SFPs 100 defined as the inter-axis distance between the central longitudinal axes of the receptacles of the two receptacles 108, as shown in Figure 1D showing a front view of the adapter 106.

212。2A shows a conventional LC duplex connector 200 that can be used with the conventional SFP 100 and the conventional adapter 106. The LC duplex connector 200 includes two conventional LC connectors 202. 2B shows another conventional LC duplex connector 204 having a distal release tab 206 and including two conventional LC connectors 208. As shown, the distal release tab includes two pins 210, and each pin assembly is configured to be coupled to the extension member 212 of each LC connector 208. 2C and 2D show top and side views, respectively, of the conventional LC connector 208 having a width of 5.6 mm, and further showing the extension member 212.

The various embodiments disclosed herein are assembled for use with a future SFP, such as the narrow pitch LC SFP 300 of FIG. 3 having a smaller pitch than the conventional 6.25 mm and 5.25 mm pitch. As further described below, various embodiments use LC-type fiber optic connectors in a duplex configuration (with transmit and receive fibers), but have a connector-to-axis distance that is less than the conventional 6.25 mm and 5.25 mm pitch.

4.8 mm。According to another aspect, an embodiment of a narrow pitch duplex LC adapter is disclosed. 4A through 4C show an embodiment of a narrow pitch adapter 400. In accordance with the disclosure herein, the narrow pitch adapter 400 has a receptacle 402 on its opposite end, and the receptacles 402 are configured to interface with two narrow pitch LC duplex connectors. FIG. 4B shows a top view of the adapter 400. Figure 4C shows a front view further showing that the adapter 400 has a distance of 4.8 mm. The adapter 400 is configured to receive a duplex LC connector, and one of the adapters has a pitch corresponding to the inter-axis distance between the LC connectors of the LC duplex connector. While the adapter 400 has a distance of 4.8 mm, the various embodiments of the narrow pitch adapter disclosed herein can have a different spacing than conventional adapter spacing, such as less than 6.25 mm and less than about 5.25 mm. In some embodiments, the spacing can be equal to or less than about 4.8 mm.

In addition to the need for a narrow connector, it is also necessary to remotely unlock a narrow connector used in a dense narrow SFP array. This is because it is almost impossible for a finger to access the connector without interrupting the service of the adjacent fiber. While there have been designs for remotely unlocking fiber optic connectors, as shown, for example, in Figure 2B, it has been demonstrated that when inserting into a typical molded construction of all SFPs, they are difficult to function as desired. The molded SFP does not have sharp edges and internal flash (burrs) that would interfere with the normal flexing action of the plastic latches of the fiber optic connectors. In particular, when the latch is actuated distally by a tab that protrudes a distance behind the connector to prevent fingers from interfering with adjacent fibers, interference between the metal edge and the burr prevents the plastic latch of the fiber connector from being completely blocked. Engage or separate easily.

In order to make the connectors more reliable with respect to the latching/unlocking of the SFP, various embodiments disclosed herein, such as shown and described below with respect to Figures 5, 7, 8 and 12, are the distal latches The assembly (tab) adds a spring force to ensure that the connector latches can return to the undisplaced position and thus become fully engaged within the recess of the SFP.

4.8 mm。FIG. 5 shows an embodiment of a narrow pitch connector 500 in accordance with aspects disclosed herein. The narrow pitch connector 500 is a duplex LC connector that includes one of the two LC connectors 502. Each LC connector 502 includes a set of turns 503 and an extension member or latch arm 504. The connector 500 has a distance of 4.8 mm and is defined as the inter-axis distance between the central axes of the LC connectors 502. In other embodiments, the connector spacing can be less than the spacing between conventional connectors, such as less than 6.25 mm and less than about 5.25 mm. In some embodiments, the spacing can be equal to or less than about 4.8 mm.

The connector 500 further includes a housing 506 having a bottom housing 508 and a top housing 510. The bottom housing 508 includes a side wall 512. In various embodiments, the housing 506 of the connector 500 can be a convertible housing. The side walls 512 can be configured to be openable to open the housing 506, for example to change the polarity of the connector 500. The side walls 512 can be raised toward the rear of the connector 500, as shown in FIG. An advantage of bulging the side walls 512 toward the rear of the connector 500 is that it is relatively easy to access. In other embodiments, the side walls 512 can be raised at another location.

The connector 500 further includes a pull tab 514 having a distal end 516 and a proximal end 518. The pull tab 514 further includes a spring 520 that is configured to provide a force such that the connector latch arm 504 returns to the undisplaced position and thus becomes fully engaged within the recess of the SFP. The distal end 516 of the pull tab 514 can be pulled to release the connector 500 distally by an SFP or adapter. The proximal end 518 of the pull tab 514 has a unique shape to engage the unique contour of the latch arm 504 of the narrow pitch LC connector 500. The proximal end 518 engages the two latch arms 504 of the duplex LC connector 500. That is, the proximal end 518 includes a single pin that is configured to engage the latch arms of the two connectors 502. A proximal end 518 of the pull tab 514 has a plurality of outwardly projecting pins 522, and the pins 522 are assembled to be placed directly over the semi-circular surface of the latch arm 504 of the duplex LC connector 502 and Slide along it. The horizontal and rearward path directions of the pins 522 cause the semicircular profiles of the connector latch arms 504 to flex downwardly. Because the pins 522 are not received in the inclined slots of the connector latch arms 504, the tabs 514 can also be pushed down at a position directly behind the LC connectors 502 instead of At one of the rear ends of the connectors, for example, the distal end 516 pulls the sheet to move rearward. The action of pushing one of the connector levers or latch arms 504 down can unlock the connector 500. In some cases, horizontal movement of the pull tab 514 may not be required. Thus, the connector latch arms 504 can be pushed down and one of the tabs 514 is not moved horizontally.

6A and 6B show top and side views, respectively, of the LC connector 502 of the narrow pitch connector 500. Figure 6A further shows that the LC connector 502 has a width of 4.6 mm. FIG. 6B shows the semicircular profile of the latch arms 504.

514。FIG. 7 shows a partial exploded view of the narrow pitch connector 500 of FIG. The top housing 510 is separate from the bottom housing 508. The pull tab 514 is coupled to the top housing 510 and is configured to slide longitudinally along the length of the connector. The top housing 510 also includes a limiter 524, and the limiter 524 is assembled to receive the pull tab 514.

FIG. 8 shows a further exploded view of the narrow pitch connector 500. In detail, the pull tab 514 is shown separated from the top housing 510 and the spring 520 is removed by the pull tab. The pull tab 514 includes a longitudinal recess 526 that is configured to receive the spring 520 and is configured to engage at least one limiter 528 that can hold the spring. The top housing 510 also includes a recess 530, and the recess 530 is configured to receive at least a portion of the pull tab 514, such as the spring 520 and the proximal end 518. In various embodiments, the pull tab is distally coupled to the connector through the top housing.

Figure 9 shows a perspective view of a conventional standard MPO SFP900. The SFP 900 is configured to receive a standard MPO connector and is provided with a socket 902 for receiving an MPO connector having a conventional width, as shown, for example, in Figures 10A through 10C.

FIG. 10A shows a perspective view of a conventional MPO connector 1000. As shown in FIG. 10B, the conventional MPO connector 1000 has a width of 12.4 mm. Figure 10C shows a front view of the MPO connector 1000.

Figure 11 shows an embodiment of a future narrow width multi-fiber SFP 1100 in accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure. The various embodiments disclosed herein are assembled for use with the narrow width multi-fiber SFP 1100, and the narrow width multi-fiber SFP 1100 has a width that is less than the width of the conventional MPO connectors, i.e., less than about 12.4 mm. The narrow width multi-fiber SFP has a socket 1102 and the socket 1102 is configured to receive a narrow width multi-fiber connector, such as a narrow width connector having an MT ferrule.

9.6 mm。Figure 12A shows an embodiment of a narrow width connector 1200 in accordance with aspects disclosed herein. The narrow width connector 1200 includes a multi-fiber connector of one of the multi-fiber MT/MPO ferrules 1202. The connector 1200 includes two extension members or latch arms 1204. In other embodiments, the connector can include at least one latch arm. The connector 1200 has a width of 9.6 mm as shown in the top view of the connector 1200 in Figure 12B. In other embodiments, the connector width can be less than the width of the conventional multi-fiber connector, such as less than 12.4 mm of the conventional MPO connector shown in Figure 10B. In some embodiments, the width can be equal to or less than about 9.6 mm.

The connector 1200 further includes a housing 1206 having a bottom housing 1208 and a top housing 1210. The bottom housing 1208 includes a sidewall 1212. In various embodiments, the housing 1206 of the connector 1200 can be a convertible housing. The side walls 1212 can be configured to be openable to open the housing 1206, for example to change the polarity of the connector 1200. The side walls 1212 can be raised toward the rear of the connector 1200. An advantage of bulging the side walls 1212 toward the rear of the connector 1200 is that it is relatively easy to access. The side walls 1212 can also be raised at another location.

The connector 1200 further includes a pull tab 1214 having a distal end 1216 and a proximal end 1218. The pull tab 1214 further includes a spring 1220 that is configured to provide a force such that the connector latch arm 1204 returns to the undisplaced position and thus becomes fully engaged within the recess of the SFP. The distal end 1216 of the pull tab 1214 can be pulled to release the connector 1200 distally by an SFP or adapter. The proximal end 1218 of the pull tab 1214 has a unique shape to engage the unique contour of the latch arm 1204 of the narrow pitch multi-fiber connector 1200. The proximal end 1218 engages the two latch arms 1204 of the multi-fiber connector 1200. That is, the proximal end 1218 includes a single pin that is configured to engage the latch arms 1204. The proximal end 1218 of the pull tab 1214 has a plurality of outwardly extending pins 1222, and the pins 1222 are assembled to be placed directly over and along the semi-circular surface of the latch arms 1204. The horizontal and rearward path directions of the pins 1222 bend the semicircular profile of the connector latch arms 1204 downwardly. Because the pins 1222 are not received in the inclined slots of the connector latch arms 1204, the tabs 1214 can also be pushed down at a position directly behind the latch arms 1204 instead of At one of the distal ends of the connector, for example, the distal end 1216 pulls the piece to move rearward. The action of pushing down one of the body levers or the latch arms 1204 can unlock the connector 1200. In some cases, horizontal movement of the pull tab 1214 may not be required. Thus, the connector latch arms 1204 can be pushed down and one of the tabs 1214 is not moved horizontally.

12B and 12C show top and front views, respectively, of the narrow width multi-fiber connector 1200. Figure 12B further shows that the connector 1200 has a width of 9.6 mm.

In the various embodiments described above, the narrow width connectors have a plurality of latch arms and the latch arms are configured to engage a fixed or non-movable recess in a narrow width SFP or a narrow width adapter. In these embodiments, the tab of the connector moves the flexible latch arm of the connector to separate the latch arm from the recess of the SFP or the adapter. For example, the latch arms are bent downwardly when the pull tab is pulled back to separate the connector from the SFP or the adapter.

In other embodiments, as further described below with respect to, for example, Figures 13A, 13B, 14 and 15, the distal latch release tab can be assembled into a latch or a hook with one of the adapter or the SFP. coupling. In these embodiments, the flexible latch arm of the connector is moved into the main cavity of the SFP or the adapter, and when the pull tab is pushed forward by a spring to a normal position, the SFP or the The latch of the adapter engages one of the recesses of the connector. The pull tab can be assembled to have an inclined area such that when the pull tab is pulled back, the SFP or the latch of the adapter is raised by the pullback pull tab, thereby causing the SFP or the adapter to be latched The connector is separated.

Figure 13A shows a narrow pitch multi-fiber connector 1300 that is inserted into a narrow pitch SFP 1302 such that one of the connectors engages an SFP latch. Figure 13B shows the narrow pitch connector 1300 and the narrow pitch connector 1300 is inserted into a narrow pitch adapter 1304 such that one of the connectors engages one of the adapter latches.

14 shows a side view of the narrow width connector 1300 of FIG. 13A coupled to the narrow width SFP 1302. The details of this coupling are shown within circle 1400. In detail, the SFP 1302 includes an SFP latch 1402. The connector 1300 includes a recess 1404. For example, the connector housing can include a recess 1404. The pull tab 1406 can be subjected to a spring load as described in various embodiments. This allows the pull tab 1406 to return to a position that allows the SFP latch 1402 to engage the connector recess 1404. When the pull tab 1406 is pushed forward by a spring to the normal pull tab position, as shown in FIG. 14, the SFP latch 1402 engages the connector recess 1404.

15 shows a side view of the narrow width connector 1300 of FIG. 13A with the narrow width connector 1300 separated from the narrow width SFP 1302. The details of the separation are shown within circle 1500. The pull tab 1406 includes a tapered or inclined region 1502. When the pull tab 1406 is pulled back in the direction of the arrow 1504 as shown, the SFP latch 1402 is raised by the tilted region 1502 of the pullback tab, thereby connecting the SFP latch 1402 to the connection. The separator is separated as shown in the circle 1500. The same effect as described herein in connection with Figure 15 is also produced in other embodiments of a connector coupled to a narrow width adapter such as that shown in Figure 13A.

Although Figures 14 and 15 show the connector coupled to a narrow width SFP, in other embodiments the connector can be coupled to a narrow width adapter having an adapter latch similar to one of the SFP latches. Moreover, while the embodiment illustrated in Figures 13A, 13B, 14 and 15 includes a narrow width multi-fiber connector, other embodiments may include narrow pitch LC connectors.

16A through 22 are various views and details showing a narrow pitch multi-fiber connector, an SFP, and a latching mechanism associated therewith in accordance with various aspects of the present invention.

The various connectors described herein coexist with various implemented methods. Referring now to Figure 23A, an embodiment of a CS connector is shown exploded for details. It should be understood that this illustrative example is illustrative, and that various alternatives are possible and certain alternatives are described herein. In some embodiments, a CS connector can be a mini single position plug that is generally characterized by a dual cylindrical spring loaded butt collar having a diameter of approximately 1.25 mm and a push-pull coupling mechanism. In some embodiments, the optical alignment mechanisms of the connectors have a rigid aperture or a resilient sleeve pattern.

In some embodiments, the CS connector can include a front body (ie, plug frame) 2301 that houses the ferrule and the ferrule flange 2302. A rear body (ie, the back post) 2304 can be coupled to the rear portion of the front body 2301 and receive the (equal) ferrule flange 2302. The ferrule flange 2302 can be held in position using one or more springs 2303. As shown, the rear body 2304 can include a clamp ring 2305 attached to the rear of the rear body. In some embodiments, a cable cover 2306 can surround the clamp ring 2305. In some embodiments and as shown, a dust cover 2307 can be placed over the front body 2301 to protect the ferrule received in the front body from damage and/or from entering debris.

In other embodiments, a push-pull tab 2310 can be attached to the CS connector as described in greater detail herein. The push-pull sheet 2310 can have a side portion 2312 and a central protrusion (i.e., 2313) for accomplishing various functions as further described herein. The push-pull sheet 2310 can apply a fixed direction force on the push-pull sheet using a leaf spring 2308 to achieve the various advantages described herein. Referring briefly to Figure 23B, an embodiment of a combined CS connector having a push-pull tab is shown. In some embodiments and as shown, the push-pull sheet 2310 has a front portion 2314 located in a recess 2317 in the front body 2301. Therefore, when the push-pull piece 2310 passes through the connector, the front portion 2314 moves independently of the front body 2301 as will be described in detail herein.

In one or more embodiments and as shown in Figure 24A, a CS connector can have a total size width of 7.95 millimeters. Moreover, in other embodiments, the CS connector can have a distance of 3.8 mm. As described herein, the spacing is defined as the axial to axial distance between the central axes of the CS connectors 2450. Further, as shown in FIG. 24B, when the push-pull piece 2410 is attached to the front body 2401 and the rear body 2404, an embodiment may have a total size height of 10.46 mm.

As described herein, a connector (e.g., a CS connector) can have a push-pull tab for easy insertion into an adapter and extraction by an adapter. Referring now to Figures 25A and 25B, in some embodiments, the push-pull tab 2510 can be slid back and forth relative to the connector in a longitudinal manner as indicated by the dashed double arrow 2511. Figure 25A shows an embodiment in which the side portion 2512 of the push-pull piece 2510 contacts the rear body 2504. Contact between the side portion 2512 and the rear body 2504 causes the push-pull piece 2510 to stop moving forward.

In another embodiment, the push-pull piece 2510 can be moved away from the rear body by a distance 2513 of about 1 mm to about 3 mm. The push-pull piece 2510 can have a central protrusion (e.g., 2314 in Fig. 23A) in contact with the rear body 2504. Contact between the central projection 2514 and the rear body 2504 can cause the push-pull piece 2510 to stop moving rearward.

Referring to Figures 26A-C, there is shown a CS connector in accordance with some embodiments. The push-pull piece has a front portion 2614 as described herein. In some embodiments, the front portion 2614 can include a tip 2630. The tip 2630 can include a slit or slot (not shown) that can slide over a portion of the front body 2601 to securely consolidate the front portion 2614 on the front body 2601. In some embodiments, the slit or slot can be large enough to accommodate movement of the push-pull piece as described herein. In other words, when the push-pull piece is pulled away from the front body (see FIG. 25B and corresponding description), the push-pull piece can slide along the front body (ie, FIG. 26C), so the slit or slot must be large enough Moving the push-pull piece also ensures that one of the non-retracted states is indeed attached (i.e., Figure 26B).

As shown in Figure 27A and as described herein, an embodiment can include a spring 2708 (i.e., Figures 23A, 2308). The spring 2708 applies a biasing force toward the front direction to the push-pull piece 2710 such that the groove of the front body 2701 and the groove of the push-pull piece 2710 are aligned as described herein and as shown in FIG. As shown in Figure 27A, the hidden lines show the spring 2708 within the push-pull sheet 2710. In other embodiments, the push-pull piece 2710 can include a wedge portion 2731. The wedge portion 2731 is assembled such that it can be snapped into the front body 2701 and slide/pass through the recess when the push-pull piece moves along the housing (ie, the front body and the rear body) (see FIG. 23A). 2317).

Referring now to Figures 28A/B/C, a CS connector including a cross-sectional view of various embodiments is shown. Figure 28A shows an example of a CS connector having two separate mark cross-sectional areas in accordance with certain embodiments. This first cross-sectional area (i.e., X-X) is shown in more detail in Figure 28B. FIG. 28B shows how the wedge portion 2831 is snapped or attached to the front body 2801. It will be appreciated that the material strength of the wedge 2831 ensures a positive connection with one of the front bodies 2801 while also allowing the push-pull piece 2810 to move along the length of the front body 2801 as described in further detail herein. In addition to the wedge portion 2831, some embodiments may have another positive attachment means, and the other positive attachment means includes one or more clips 2832 formed as part of the push-pull tab. In some embodiments and as shown, the one or more clips 2832 are coupled to and snapped into the front body 2801 and positioned adjacent to the body 2804 after insertion into the front body. It should be understood that these are non-limiting examples, and various attachment means can be used to secure the push-pull piece 2810 to the housing. In detail, the wedge portion 2831 and the one or more clips 2832 can be disposed at various other positions on the push-pull piece 2810 and at different positions on the front body 2801 and the rear body 2804.

1 The connector (e.g., CS connector) disclosed herein can be inserted into an adapter (e.g., a fiber optic cable), such as an optical fiber array or server. A non-limiting illustration of one of the typical adapters is shown in Figure 30A. Figure 30A shows a dual adapter for accepting two connectors (e.g., a double ferrule CS connector). It should be understood that the various dimensions provided herein are for illustration only and may be in various other dimensions in various embodiments. Figures 30B and 30C show a particular cross-sectional view of the adapter shown in Figure 30A. The various dimensions of Figures 30A, 30B and 30C are listed in Table 1 below. As shown in Figures 31, 32 and 33 and described herein, the receiver/transceiver can be inserted into an anchoring device. Table 1

2910。It will be appreciated that various portions of a connector system (e.g., a CS connector system) can be adjusted to suit a variety of situations. One non-limiting example of these variations is shown in Figure 29, and Figure 29 shows a push-pull piece 2910 constructed of different lengths.

The embodiment shown in Figures 30A, 30B and 30C shows an adapter that can accommodate one of various modifications. For example, and referring to Figures 31A, 31B and 31C, in some embodiments, a detachable adapter modification (e.g., the hook system of Figures 31B and 31C) can be inserted into the adapter of Figure 31A. The detachable modification device, as shown in Figures 31B and 31C, can include a hook tip 3121 and a hook bevel 3122, or a majority of any one (e.g., as shown, the modification device includes two hook tips).

It will be appreciated that the type and design of the detachable modification device (i.e., the interchangeable anchor device) can vary. Figures 32A, 32B and 32C provide an illustrative, non-limiting example of one possible design for the interchangeable anchoring device. As described herein, in some embodiments, a detachable adapter modification (e.g., the hook system of Figures 32B and 32C) can be inserted into the adapter shown in Figure 32A. The detachable modification device, as shown in Figures 32B and 32C, can include a hook tip 3221 and a hook bevel 3222, or a majority of any (e.g., as shown, the modification device includes two hook tips).

In another embodiment, and as shown in Figures 33A, 33B and 33C, a detachable adapter modification (e.g., the hook system of Figures 33B and 33C) can be inserted into the adapter shown in Figure 33A. The detachable modification device, as shown in Figures 33B and 33C, can include a hook tip 3321 and a hook ramp 3322, or a majority of any one (e.g., the modified device includes two hook tips as shown).

Figure 34 shows a dual adapter similar to that shown in Figure 30A for accepting a two connector (e.g., a double ferrule CS connector), but Figure 34 includes a second detachable modification device 3420. It should be understood that the various dimensions provided herein are for illustration only and that various other dimensions are possible in various embodiments. 35A and 35B show specific cross-sectional views of the adapter shown in Fig. 34, and thus the mark sizes of Figs. 34, 35A and 35B are also listed in Table 1.

Referring now to Figures 36A and 36B, an illustrative example of a CS connector being inserted into an adapter is shown. As described herein, the adapter shown in this illustrative example includes modifying means for engaging a majority of the CS connector as detailed below. Figure 37 shows a CS connector inserted into an adapter. When the connector is inserted into the adapter housing, the modifying device 3720 strikes the CS connector and interacts with the CS connector. In some embodiments, when the CS connector is inserted, the front portion of the CS connector contacts the hook bevel (3522 of FIG. 35C, 3222 of FIGS. 32B and 32C, and 3322 of FIGS. 33B and 33C), and the hook bevel The portion of the modification device that interacts with the CS connector is raised.

Still referring to Fig. 37, the movement of the modification device is shown in enlarged views 3731 and 3732. As shown, the hidden (eg, imaginary) lines represent the contoured hook ramps 3122, 3222, and 3322, and the solid lines represent the contours of the hook tips 3121, 3221, and 3321. The hooks 3121, 3221 and 3321 are raised above the surface of the connector to allow the connector to be inserted into the adapter. After the connector reaches a predetermined destination within the adapter (e.g., when a positive fiber connection is achieved), the hook tips 3121, 3221, and 3321 interlock with a recess 3709 on the connector. This interlocking action secures the connector within the adapter housing by the tab during the push-in action.

Referring now to Figure 38, it is important to note that the front portion 3814 of the push-pull tab 3810 moves independently of the front body 3801 as described herein. Thus, the front portion 3814 of the push-pull tab 3810, shown enlarged, can be aligned with the recess 3816 of the front body 3801. In this configuration, the hook tips 3121, 3221, and 3321 can securely couple the connector to the adapter. However, depending on the embodiment, the push-pull piece 3810 can be moved toward the front or rearward direction (see Figures 31, 32 and 33), thus aligning the recesses 3816 with the push-pull recess. When the front portion 3814 of the push-pull piece 3810 moves and is not aligned, it interacts with the hook slopes 3122, 3222 and 3322 through the slope 3815. Therefore, in some embodiments, moving the push-pull piece 3810 independently of the front body 3801 can allow the inclined area 3815 to apply a force to the hook slopes 3122, 3222, and 3322, thereby raising the hook tips 3121. , 3221 and 3321. After lifting the hook tips 3121, 3221 and 3321, the connector can be safely removed by the adapter and/or transceiver.

2 Figures 39 through 41 further show an enlarged view and a cross-sectional view of one of the connectors interacting with an adapter and/or transceiver. In addition, Figures 42 and 43 further show an enlarged view of an embodiment and possible dimensions, see Table 2. Table 2

The use of a CS connector produces a compact fiber embodiment and improved flexibility. For example, in some prior systems, as shown in FIG. 44A, a 200G transceiver module 4401 can house an MPO connector 4402. The MPO connector can then be separated using another tool such as a fanout 4403 or a 4406. After the cable is separated, it can be coupled to a 100G modular device (e.g., one of the illustrated LC uniboots) 4404. The 100G module device 4404 can then be inserted into a 100G transceiver 4405.

Alternatively, in some embodiments, and as shown in FIG. 44B, a plurality of CS connectors 4406 are plugged into a 200G transceiver module 4401. Each CS connector 4406 can then be independently coupled to the 100 as shown in FIG. 44A, and a 200G transceiver module 4401 can house an MPO connector 4402. The MPO connector can then be separated using another tool such as a fanout 4403 or a 4406. After the cable is separated, it can be coupled to a 100G modular device (e.g., one of the illustrated LC uniboots) 4404. The 100G module device 4404 can then be inserted into a 100G transceiver module 4405.

Shown in Figure 14 for illustrative purposes only is one particular example of the use of multiple bundles of cables, and it should be understood that there may be almost unlimited alternatives and modifications. As shown, one of the illustrated switches (e.g., 100G switch) 1430 has a transceiver (e.g., 100G transceiver) 1431. The transceiver 1431 has an adapter that houses one of the two mini CS duplex connectors 1432. A quad-fiber cable 1433 extends from each of the duplex connectors 1432 and is coupled to various other connectors and transceivers. As shown, a four fiber optic cable 1433 is split into two fiber optic cables 1434, and the two fiber optic cables 1434 are then attached to a single CS simplex connector 1435 and placed in a transceiver (eg, a 25G receiving container) 1436. . As further shown, one of the four fiber optic cables 1437 is connected to a single mini CS duplex connector 1438, and the single mini CS duplex connector 1438 is then inserted into another transceiver (eg, 50G). Transceiver) 1439.

例如,可了解該片語「A或B」包括「A」或「B」或「A與B」之可能性。It will be appreciated by those of ordinary skill in the art that, in general, and in particular, the terms used in the scope of the appended claims (e.g., the subject matter of the appended claims) are generally intended to be "open". For example, the phrase "including" should be interpreted as "including but not limited to", the term "having" should be interpreted as "having at least" and the term "including" should be construed as "including but not limited to". . The various components, methods, and devices may be described as "including, but not limited to," the various components, methods, and devices. "Consisting" or "consisting of various components and steps", and the term should be interpreted as defining a substantially closed component group. It will be further appreciated by those of ordinary skill in the art that if the intent is a specific number of referral request statements, The intent is to be expressly stated in the claim, and the intent is not in the absence of the statement. For example, as an aid to understanding, the following additional claims may include the use of the phrase "at least one" and "one. Or a majority to introduce a request statement. However, even when the same request item includes the indefinite article "at least one" and "one or a majority" and the indefinite article such as "a" (for example, "a" should be construed as meaning In the case of a "one or a majority", the use of such a phrase shall not be construed as implying that the indefinite article "a" may be Any particular request for a request statement limitation is limited to an embodiment containing only one such statement; this is also true for the use of the definite article used to introduce the request statement. Furthermore, even if a specific number of referral request statements are clearly stated Those of ordinary skill in the art may also appreciate that the statement should be interpreted as indicating that at least the number (eg, a "two statements" without other modifiers indicates at least two statements, or two or more statements. In addition, in the case of using a convention similar to "at least one of A, B, and C, etc.", in general, those skilled in the art can understand the conventional aspect, and the configuration is generally expected (For example, "a type having at least one of A, B, and C" will include, but is not limited to, only having A, only having B, having only C, having A and B, having A and C, having B and C, and / or a system having A, B, and C.) In the case of using a convention similar to "at least one of A, B, or C, etc.", those having ordinary knowledge in the technical field can understand the conventional aspect. In terms of Often this configuration is predictable (eg, "a type having at least one of A, B, or C" will include, but is not limited to, only having A, only having B, having only C, having A and B, having A and C, A system having B and C, and/or having A, B, and C, etc. It is further understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that in fact, any alternative words representing two or more alternative terms should be understood and/or Or a phrase, whether in the description, the scope of the patent application, or the drawings, may include the possibility of including one of the terms, any of the terms, or a dual term. For example, the film may be understood. The term "A or B" includes the possibility of "A" or "B" or "A and B".

In addition, although the features and aspects of the present disclosure are illustrated by the Markush group, those of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the present disclosure is thus independent of any of the Markush group.
