Abstract

A scanning device is configured to scan a barcode of a merchandise. The scanning device includes a supporting table and a scanner configured to scan the barcode. The supporting table includes a reflector and a supporting surface configured to place the merchandise. The reflector is slanted relative to the supporting surface. The reflector can reflect the barcode to make the scanner scan the barcode. The present disclosure also provides a supporting table as described above.

Scanning device and support table

The invention relates to a scanning device and a support table.

At present, many items are provided with barcodes, and the user can scan the barcodes by using the scanning device to record the information of the articles for convenient inquiry. The bar code is usually printed on one side of the item, and the position of the item needs to be adjusted before scanning to increase the workload by directly facing the bar code.

In view of the above, it is necessary to provide a scanning device that facilitates scanning and a support table that is applied to the above scanning device.

Compared with the prior art, the scanning device includes a scanning gun and a supporting table. The supporting platform includes a supporting wall and a mirror, and the reflecting mirror is disposed obliquely with respect to the supporting wall. When the bar code on the item is facing away from the scanning gun, the mirror can reflect the bar code to enable the scanner to scan the bar code without the user having to rotate the bar code on the item to facilitate scanning by the user.

Referring to FIG. 1, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a scanning device 100 is used to scan a barcode 201 on an item 200. The scanning device 100 includes a support table 10 for placing the article 200 and a scanner 30 for scanning the barcode 201. In one embodiment, the article 200 is a transparent object, such as a display screen.

The support table 10 includes a top surface 11 and a recessed groove 12 formed from the top surface 11 . In one embodiment, the accommodating groove 12 is substantially square and includes a bottom wall 14 and four side walls 13 substantially perpendicular to the bottom wall 14.

A boss 131 is protruded from the side wall 13 , and the boss 131 extends to the bottom wall 14 . The boss 131 includes a support wall 132, and the support wall 132 is located at the top end of the boss 131 and is horizontally disposed. The support wall 132 is lower than the top surface 11 and is substantially parallel to the top surface 11 .

A fixing groove 141 is defined in the bottom wall 14 , and the fixing groove 141 is substantially square and substantially located at a center of the bottom wall 14 . The fixing groove 141 includes a fixing wall 142 which is disposed obliquely and forms an acute angle with the supporting wall 132.

The support table 10 further includes at least one mirror 15 for radiating the barcode 201 on the article 200.

Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 , the mirror 15 is fixed on the fixed wall 142 , the mirror 15 is spaced apart from the fixed wall 142 , and the mirror 15 and the support wall 132 are disposed. An acute angle is formed between them.

When the user needs to scan the barcode 201 on the article 200, the article 200 is placed on the support wall 132 of the support table 10. When the barcode 201 is facing the scanner 30, the user can scan the barcode 201 with the scanner 30 for scanning.

Referring to FIG. 4, when the barcode 201 faces away from the scanner 30, that is, toward the mirror 15, an acute angle is formed between the mirror 15 and the support wall 132. The scanner 30 can scan the image of the barcode 201 in the mirror 15 through a transparent portion of the article 200.

The scanning device 100 includes a support table 10 and a scanner 30. The support table 10 includes a support wall 132 and a mirror 15 , and the mirror 15 is disposed obliquely with respect to the support wall 132 . When the user needs to scan the barcode 201 on the item 200, the item 200 can be placed directly on the support wall 132. When the barcode 201 faces the scanner 30, the barcode 201 is scanned directly using the scanner 30. When the barcode 201 is facing away from the scanner 30, the barcode image in the mirror 15 can be scanned using the scanner 30. The user does not need to rotate the article 200 to bring the barcode 201 toward the scanner 30, facilitating operation.

However, the above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and the claim of the present invention cannot be limited thereby. Equivalent modifications or variations made by persons skilled in the art in light of the spirit of the invention are intended to be included in the following claims.

A scanning device for scanning a barcode on an article, comprising a support table and a scanner for scanning the barcode, the support platform comprising a mirror and a support wall for placing the article The mirror is disposed obliquely with respect to the support wall, the mirror for reflecting a bar code on the article to enable the scanner to scan the bar code. The scanning device of claim 1, wherein the mirror is spaced from the support wall.
