Abstract
An alkali-free glass is provided that has a high point of strain, and exhibits a controlled etching rate. The alkali-free glass of the present invention, on the basis of oxides in molar percentage, comprises: 67 to 77% of SiO2, 8 to 16% of Al2O3, 0.1 to 2.9% of B2O3, 2 to 6.5% of MgO, 5.5 to 12.5% of CaO, 0 to 8% of SrO and 2 to 6% of BaO, and MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO is 10 to 17.5%, the ratio of (MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO) to Al2O3 is below 2.2, the ratio of MgO to CaO is below 0.7, the weight reduction rate of HF is less than 0.16(mg/cm 2 )/min, and the strain point is more than 705DEG C, the average thermal expansion coefficient at 50~350DEG C is less than 41.5×10 -7 /DEG C, the specific gravity is less than 2.61g/cm 3, and the Young's modulus number is above 78Gpa.
