Abstract

A dual gas storage type wheel comprises a rim, a tire and a plurality of single acting cylinders. The rim comprises an internal rim, an outer rim surrounding a periphery of the inner rim, and a first gas storage space collectively defined by the inner rim and the outer rim and filled with gas, and a second gas storage space filled with gas is defined between an inner wall surface of the tire and the outer rim. The single acting cylinders are spaced from each other and arranged in the first gas storage space. Each single acting cylinder comprises a gas chamber communicating with the first gas storage space and a piston component acted by air pressure to displace telescopically and extend through the outer rim to abut the inner wall surface of the tire. Thus, when flat tire occurs during driving, air pressure change in the dual layer gas storage space enables the piston component to still support the tire to maintain circular motion so as to prevent the vehicle from being out of control.
