Abstract

The present invention relates to an air intake structure of motorcycle engine. The engine comprises a transmission box. The transmission box is configured with a continuously variable transmission system. The transmission box has an air intake, and is configured with an air filter nearby. The air filter comprises a main body, a filter element, an air inlet pipe and a cover. An air inlet cover is disposed on the air intake of the transmission box. The cover of the air filter is configured with an extension portion, which may shield the air inlet cover. By extending an extension portion from the cover of the air filter toward the direction of the air intake of the transmission box, the extension portion may have an extending channel section and a shielding section. The extension channel section may be formed as an air inlet channel, and the shielding section is further extended toward the front side than the air intake and the air inlet cover of the transmission box. The shielding section may shield the air intake and the air inlet cover of the transmission box from the side view. The shielding section and the front cover of the air inlet cover may be formed and kept with a space with a certain interval, and the space may be formed as a circuitous main air intake channel. The main air intake channel may allow the outside air further entering the air filter along the extension portion after entering. The front cover of the air inlet cover can prevent the outside dust from entering the extension portion to enhance the service life of the air filter.
