Abstract

The subject of the present invention is to provide a glass substrate with antistatic film, on which an antistatic film can be formed through a simple device by an easy operation, and the obtained antistatic film is rather stable and has sufficient antistatic function. Further, this invention provides a method for manufacturing glass substrate with antistatic film having those characteristics. As a solution to the glass substrate with antistatic film, it is characterized by having a glass substrate and an antistatic film attached to the surface of the glass substrate. The antistatic film is composed of zwitterionic compounds or cationic polymers. The zwitterionic compound has cationic group and anionic group in a molecule. The average molecular weight of the cationic polymer is 200-1 million, and the cationic polymer itself contains a plurality of cationic groups and essentially no anionic group.
