Description

Suture used to lift or expand the volume of skin tissue

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention This invention relates to a suture for peeling or expanding the volume of a skin tissue, and more particularly to a suture which can be inserted into a layer of skin, which pulls up the skin and forms skin tissue, thereby enticing between the layers of the skin. Adhesion is produced and the skin is kept in a pulled state, and wrinkles are removed and skin elasticity is enhanced by expanding the volume of the skin tissue.

As people age, wrinkles form on the face or body surface. Wrinkles are formed because muscles contract and the skin and fat layers sag due to gravity. The direction in which wrinkles are formed is perpendicular to the direction in which the muscles contract, and thus deepens with age.

The method of removing wrinkles can be mainly classified into chemical methods and physical methods.

One of the chemical methods is to use botulinum to make the muscles that cause wrinkles to become rigid. However, this method may result in an unnatural appearance and is difficult to use under the eyes, lower lip, nasolabial fold, and the like. Also, this method is limited to thick or deep wrinkles and the effect lasts only 3 to 6 months.

In terms of physical methods, one method is to fill the wrinkles with a filler. Although liquid fillers are convenient for injection, liquid fillers move toward muscle contraction as the muscles move, causing wrinkles to appear deeper and eventually absorbed by the body over time (about 1 to 2 years).

Another physical method is to insert an extremely thin gold wire into the subcutaneous layer. The gold wire will promote the growth of new tissues near the gold wire through the foreign matter reaction. However, this method is limited to thick wrinkles, and the inserted gold wire may be bent by an external force or protruded on the skin. Furthermore, because the gold wire is permanently left in the skin, it may cause interference when performing diagnostic medical imaging (eg, X-ray, CT, MRI, etc.).

Another physical method is the technique of pulling the skin by tightening the skin to remove wrinkles. However, wrinkles may reappear over time, and if the force applied at various portions of the three-dimensional contour of the face is different, wrinkles may not be uniformly removed. Although this method is effective against severe wrinkles, surgical techniques are less effective for the skin.

Accordingly, the present invention provides a suture capable of solving the above problems, which suture can be used not only for treating extremely severe wrinkles, but also for adults aged 20 to 40 years old and thin skin.
