Abstract

A buckle provided with: a male member having a pair of arms which extends from the base section of the male member and which has latch sections; and a flat tubular female member having an insertion opening into which the arms are inserted and also having catch sections which engage with the latch sections to lock the arms. The female member has a front insertion edge which protrudes in the direction of insertion of the arms. In the male member, the pair of arms includes corresponding surfaces which are provided on the opposing inner surfaces of the arms and which are received in the female member so that the shape of the corresponding surfaces correspond to the shape of the front insertion edge when the male member is in a connected state. The edges of the inner surfaces and the edge of the base section form a grip hole, and the width of the grip hole in the direction in which the pair of arms is disposed side by side is small on the front end side of the arms.
