Abstract

An antiglare polarizer and an image display employing the polarizer are provided. The antiglare polarizer comprises: an antiglare film which is composed of at least one transparent resin layer constituted of a transparent resin, a resinous base film, and a hard coating layer superposed on the resinous base film and having a finely rugged structure in the surface, the resinous base film having an internal haze of 5-30% and the hard coating layer having a surface haze of 0.5-15% and an internal haze of 2% or lower; and a polarizer film laminated to the antiglare film on the side opposite to the hard coating layer through an adhesive layer constituted of a cured layer obtained from a curable composition containing an epoxy resin as a major component. The antiglare polarizer has excellent antiglare performance and prevents visibility from decreasing due to white blurring. When disposed on the front side of a high-resolution image display, the antiglare polarizer attains a high contrast without causing glitter.
