Abstract

Disclosed is a liquid crystal sealing agent which has an extremely low possibility of contaminating liquid crystals, while exhibiting excellent coating workability and bondability with a substrate. In addition, this liquid crystal sealing agent has long working life, long pot life, and high adhesion strength. Specifically disclosed is a liquid crystal sealing agent which is characterized by containing (a) a hydrazide compound having a isocyanuric ring structure represented by the general formula (1) below, and (b) one or more curable resins selected from epoxy resins, (meth)acrylated epoxy resins, and partially (meth)acrylated epoxy resins. (1) [In the formula, R1-R3 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a molecular skeleton represented by the following general formula (2): (2) (wherein n represents an integer of 1-6).]
