Abstract
An ε-type copper phthalocyanine pigment is characterized in that the pigment satisfies the curve of light diffraction quantitative change of the pigment on the Cu K X. If a line formed by the point on the above-mentioned quantitative change curve when the Bragg angle is 2θ=5 DEG and the point on the above-mentioned quantitative change curve when the Bragg angle is 2θ=12 DEG is used as the base line, wherein the value of the diffraction strength is set to A when the Bragg angle is 2θ=6.8 DEG, the value of the maximum diffraction strength is set to B when the Bragg angle is within 2θ=9.1 DEG±0.2 DEG, and the value of the minimum diffraction strength is set to C when the Bragg angle is within 2θ=8.6 DEG ± 0.2 DEG, the equation is expressed as: -0.05 ≤ (A-C)/(A-C+B) ≤ 0.03. The ε-type copper phthalocyanine pigment is prepared by substantially well mixing the mixture containing an α-type copper phthalocyanine, a crude ε-type copper phthalocyanine, water-soluble inorganic salts, water-soluble organic solvents and so on at 130 to 210 DEG C. A coloring composition including the above ε-type copper phthalocyanine pigment and liquefied medium component is also disclosed.
