Abstract

To suppress easily generated curls in a polarizing plate formed by layering a cycloolefin based resin film on one surface of a polarizing film made of a polyvinyl alcohol based resin via an adhesive and a cellulose acetate based film on the other surface via an adhesive. In the polarizing plate formed by layering the cycloolefin based resin film on one surface of the polarizing film made of the polyvinyl alcohol based resin via the adhesive and the cellulose acetate based film on the other surface via the adhesive, moisture percentage of the cellulose acetate based film before the film is layered is adjusted to be 0.5% or more. Adjustment of the moisture percentage can be performed by immersing the cellulose acetate based film in water and then drying the film.
