Abstract

To provide a light guide plate that can produce a wide viewing angle characteristic as well as a high luminance characteristic, and to provide a method capable of efficient mass production of the light guide plate. The light guide plate for a back light unit is installed so as to convert the mode and path of incident light from a light source. For reflecting the incident light from the light source, the light guide plate is provided with a prism pattern formed on one surface and a scattering pattern minutely formed on the prism pattern to scatter the incident light.
