Abstract

A brightness enhancement module is disclosed, which comprises an optical modulation unit and a polarizer; wherein the optical modulation unit is made of a transparent material and has a first optical surface and a second optical surface for receiving an incident light, and the polarizer faces toward the second optical surface. Moreover, the optical modulation unit further comprises: at least a microstructure formed on the first optical surface, wherein each microstructure has: a first side for scattering the incident light; and a second side for collimating the incident light.
