Abstract

The invention provides a method for determining rectangular size of human face, which mainly derives a rectangular size of a human face from a distance between two eyes in accordance with eye location information. The method includes the steps of performing a binary processing of human face image in order to obtain the locations of two eyes for the distance between two eyes; combining all black dots of the binary image to form a block-based image containing black blocks; and sequentially determining if each black block in the block-based image is a human eye in accordance with the reasonable location and size of human eye so as to obtain human eye location information. Accordingly, the human eye positioning and the determination of the rectangular size of human face are not interfered by the factors of glasses, light and so forth.
