Abstract
The present invention provides an optical element comprising at least a substrate and, on the substrate, pixels and hyperchromic partition walls separating the pixels, and satisfying the following requirements (a), (b) and (c): (a) at least one boundary between at least one pixel among the pixels and a corresponding hyperchromic partition wall has a curve shape with a radius of curvature of 0.5 μm or more at at least one corner having an internal angle of less than 180 DEG on a pixel side when seen from a pixel-formed surface side of the substrate toward a direction parallel to the thickness of the substrate: (b) the pixels are formed by giving liquid drops of a colored liquid composition to spaces in the hyperchromic partition walls formed on the substrate; and (c) the hyperchromic partition walls are obtained by laminating a photosensitive transfer material that has a temporary substrate, and a photosensitive resin composition layer on the substrate and by exposing the photosensitive resin composition layer to light through the temporary substrate.
