Abstract

A mute circuit used to eliminate a noise when a liquid crystal TV is turned on is disclosed, which is used to automatically generate a mute signal when the liquid crystal TV is turned on, so as to enable an audio device of the liquid crystal TV to generate a mute effect. In this invention, when the liquid crystal TV is turned on, a standby voltage is generated to conduct on a transistor so as to automatically generate a mute signal. After the liquid crystal TV is turned on completely, a high voltage of 24VB and a voltage-divider circuit are then used to set the transistor in an off status, so that the mute circuit of this invention no longer generates the mute signal automatically to allow the liquid crystal TV to be free from interference with normal operation thereof. The liquid crystal TV can use the mute circuit of this invention to eliminate the foreign sound generated by a noise signal at the time when the liquid crystal TV is turned on.
