Abstract

A light emitting module having a center axis is provided. The light emitting module includes a light source, a lens, and a light shielding layer. The light source is suitable for providing light, and the lens is disposed above the light source. The lens has a light incident surface, a total reflecting surface, and a side-edged light-emitting surface. The light incident surface is located above the light source, the total reflecting surface is located above the light incident surface, and the side-edged light-emitting surface is connected between the light incident surface and the total reflecting surface. The light emitted from the light source enters the lens through the light incident surface and the light propagating within the lens is reflected by the total reflecting surface so as to leave the lens through the side-edged light-emitting surface. The shielding layer is disposed on at least portions of the total reflecting surface.
