A method of enhancing resistibility of crop plants against bacterial and/or fungal diseases, which comprises treating the plants or seeds with low rates of 2-{1-[4-(3, 5-difluorophenyl)semicarbazono]ethyl}nicotinic acid, common name diflufenzopyr, a method for controlling harmful fungi and bacteria using mixtures of diflufenzopyr and compounds II and/or III, and also compositions comprising these mixtures.
