Abstract
To provide a display device capable of forming an excellent image, enhancing yield and reliability. The SED is composed of a front panel having many phosphor layers R, G, B, a back panel having many electron emitting elements corresponding to the phosphor layers, side walls sealing and fixing peripheral part of the panels to each other, and a plurality of columnar spacers interposed between the panels and supporting pressure of atmospheric air. The phosphors R, G, B are formed by arraying a plurality of pixel rows 20 arrayed in wave-shaped pattern along long side direction of the front panel, in short side direction with a distance from each other. Spacer contact positions T are set at a widened area between the adjacent phosphor layers of the pixel rows separated from each other.
