Abstract

An optical pointing and positioning device. The optical pointing and positioning device includes a housing, a resilient transparent plate, a movable refractor, a movable sensor, a light source, and an actuator. The housing includes an opening. The resilient transparent plate is connected to the housing and covers the opening. The movable refractor is disposed in the housing and under the resilient transparent plate. The movable sensor is disposed under the movable refractor. The light source is adjacent to the movable refractor. Light from the light source reflects the image of an object on the resilient transparent plate to the movable sensor. The movable sensor outputs a corresponding pointing signal according to variation of reflected images of the object. The actuator is disposed under the movable sensor. When the object forces the movable refractor and sensor to move, the actuator is activated by the movable sensor, outputting an actuating signal.
