Abstract

The present invention relates to a nanofiber-based substrate with surface patterns and method for fabricating the same. The invention produces nanofibers with about 100 nm to 800 nm diameters by using electrospinning technology. The nanofibers can be formed by biomaterials such as gelatin, collagen, hyaluronic acid, or glycosaminoglycans. The nanofibers-based substrate of the invention can be formed in different surface patterns by using a cross-link substance to immobilize the nanofibers subsequently to remove the unmmobilized nanofibers.
