Abstract

This invention provides a drum-type washing machine with a structure for steam treatment. In a situation desirable to heat washing water to a prescribed temperature, the washing machine is capable of treating the steam generated inside a water tub. Among them, a washing water heating tub is disposed under the water tub in which a rotary drum is stored therein. The washing water heating tub has a heater for heating water. Steam generated inside the washing tub is guided into a detergent loading part through an exhaust pipe, and into a water injection lid for injecting water into a detergent storage chamber for cooling. Steam is cooled to dew-condensation, and water generated by the dew-condensation is fed from the detergent loading part through a water supply pipe and a water supply port to be re-collected in the water tub.
