Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of preparing a biodegradable polymer composition, said method comprising melt mixing a first polysaccharide, a first biodegradable polyester and a compatibiliser, wherein said compatibiliser has been formed separately by reacting a second polysaccharide and a second biodegradable polyester in the presence of a transesterification catalyst.
