Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of fabricating an aluminum alloy launcher tube and the equipment used thereby. The aluminum alloy launcher tube is made comprising: an extrusion step to form several segments, each having the same shape and, when assembled, constituting the whole launcher tube; a milling step performed on the outer parts of the segments with a milling tool; a forming step performed on the interior of the segments to comply with the missile body and the sliding ribs with forming tools; an examination step to examine the space left by the missile body and the sliding ribs with a missile body model and a sliding rib model; a welding step to join the segments together; a jig retreating step, an overall examining step, and an anodizing treatment.
