Abstract

The present invention provides a light-guide plate of backlight unit. The brightness and uniformity of light is improved by forming fine structure on the top and bottom surfaces. The light-guide plate of backlight unit in the present invention is mounted behind a liquid crystal display (LCD) device for guiding the light irradiated from a light source to the LCD device. The light-guide plate is composed of a plate-like material with transparent property. The light-guide plate includes a lens section constituted by a plurality of slots on the bottom surface of the light-guide plate fro scattering the light transmitted through a side surface and focusing to a pre-determined direction; and a focusing section constituted by a plurality of polyhedron-like protrusions protruded beyond the top surface of the light-guide plate for focusing the light scattered by the lens section to an upward direction.
