Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for determining a moving object entering a specific geographic zone. The method reads a representative point coordinate Tn of each geographic zone and a current position coordinate Pc of the moving object; calculates a relative distance between each other; selects a specific geographic zone Zs having a relative distance Ds less than a specific distance D; reads n endpoint coordinates of the specific geographic zone Zs; calculates a vector Vm from the current position coordinate Pc of the moving object to each of the n endpoint coordinates; according to a counterclockwise or clockwise direction, processes cross product to the above n vectors Vm to obtain n normal vectors Um; then sequentially processes dot product to the above n normal vectors Um to obtain n-1 dot values. If n-1 dot values are all positive values or negative values, it is confirmed that the moving object has entered the specific geographic zone Zs.
