Abstract
A heat-resistant material for glass melting, a glass-article production device using the said heat-resistant material, and a production method of glass articles that utilizes the said production device to manufacture glass articles are provided. In the melted glass, the heat-resistant material can suppress fine oxygen-containing bubbles, which hinder the homogeneity of the melted glass, and can also enhance the durability of a melting equipment. The heat-resistant material for glass melting in this invention is composed of a platinum-containing material F that is carried in a heating production device 10 of multi-component serial oxide glass, and the thickness of the platinum-containing material F on a face that is in contact with the melted glass is within the range of 1.1 mm to 50 mm. In addition, in the glass-article production device 10 of this invention, the heat-resistant material for glass melting is arranged in any one of the groups, which include a furnace bed of a trough in which the melted glass G can flow, a side wall of the trough, and an inner surface of a structure that connects the trough gap. Furthermore, in the glass-article production method of this invention, the said glass-article production device 10 is used to produce glass articles.
