Abstract
A facial recognition method based on the recognition of facial features mainly includes the steps of using image processing technique to detect the positions of human face and complexion; dividing the facial features into several main classes in advance and associating those classes with the corresponding description to establish a facial feature class database for every person; using the image processing technique to capture the human face and its facial feature positions with a facial detection unit; lastly, classifying the facial features with a facial feature description unit in advance and associating the facial features with the corresponding description content, and recognizing the pertaining classes of detected facial features, thereby making the method applicable to human face search and facial recognition.
