Abstract

This invention relates to a vibration attenuation system by counterbalancing weight of a machine tool. The spindle headstock of the machine is attached with a counterbalancing weight through a chain. A vibration attenuation device is installed between the chain and the counterbalancing weight, for using to create elastic buffering force to reduce the vibration of the spindle headstock due the tremble of the counterbalancing weight, which is caused by the inertial force of the counterbalancing weight and the potential energy released from elastic deformation of the chain when the spindle headstock stops instantaneously during high-speed motion, so as to improve the cutting quality of the spindle.
