Abstract

The present invention relates to an inverter transformer, in which a separation slit separating primary and secondary bobbins and insulating separation slits are formed in a trans cap, and the secondary bobbin having two output sections and symmetrical U-shaped cores are used, so that the primary and secondary bobbins can be electrically insulated with more reliability, efficiency of the transformer can be increased, and heat generated by the transformer can be reduced. Further, in the inverter transformer, a production yield of cores is increased, and operational efficiency of the manufacturing process of transformer can be improved by preventing the core from being joined in a wrong position. The inverter transformer according to the invention inverter transformer includes a primary bobbin having a plurality of insulating slits formed thereon, between which a primary coil is wound; a secondary bobbin having a plurality of insulating slits formed thereon, between which a secondary coil wound, the secondary bobbin having two output sections; a trans cap including first and second bobbin receiving sections into which the primary and secondary bobbins are respectively inserted, with a separation slit being formed in the center; and a pair of U-shaped core that respectively pass through both sides of the trans cap to be inserted into insertion holes formed in the primary and secondary bobbins.
