Abstract

A sealant region pattern for a liquid crystal display apparatus and a method for fabricating the same. The method comprises the steps of providing a first substrate and a second substrate opposite to the first substrate; forming a predetermined material layer on the first substrate; forming a organic material pattern layer, having openings of a sew-tooth pattern, on the predetermined material layer; and putting a predetermined sealant in the openings or in the corresponding position of the second substrate for attachment of the first substrate to the second substrate. The openings expose surfaces of the underlying predetermined material layer, formed a predetermined angle between the surface of the predetermined material layer and the sidewall of the organic material pattern layer.
