To achieve a paint composition excellent in conductivity in addition to electromagnetic wave absorbency, and also, excellent in heat radiation, and to provide a coated metal plate coated with such a paint composition, and a casing for electronic equipment that is composed of the coated metal plate. The paint composition includes soft magnetic ferrite powder of 20-60 mass%. The surface of the soft magnetic ferrite powder is coated with a conductive metal. The paint composition includes an exoergic additive for heat radiation. The paint composition is applied to a metal plate and it is used as the casing for electronic equipment that is suitable for an electromagnetic wave shield.
