Abstract

To provide an optical disk device comprising a means (101a) for estimating position control deviation and a means (102a) for outputting a correction signal to which a kick-braking function signal has been set to an actuator (10) based on the estimated result, so as to carry out controlling such that the position deviation signal will not exceed a specified value. In the case that the regenerated optical disk is subjected to an impact disturbance due to a vibration or collision acted upon the optical disk device, or a physical distortion of disks, such as an eccentric surface runout, the control deviation can be suppressed without losing the control stability, and stable recording/regeneration at all times is possible, even in the case that the control deviation increases.
