Abstract

A fan module suited for portable electronic device comprises a housing, a rotor, a magnet, and a plurality of coils. The housing comprises at least an air inlet and at least an air outlet. The rotor has a plurality of blades and is set up in the housing along a rotational axis. The magnet is set up in the housing and is disposed for one side of the rotor. The coils are set up on the rotor and drive the rotor to rotate by the interaction between the coils and the magnet. Then, the rotor sucks the outside air into the housing from the inlet and discharges the air from the outlet. The coils are wound along a wind axis paralleled the rotational axis of the rotor and are disposed on the rotor. This makes the fan module thinner and reduces the fan module's owning space of portable electronic device.
