Abstract
The present invention is to provide a gyratory type engine. The multiple engine cylinders are distributed and arranged uniformly in the horizontal and radial configuration. The cylinders are connected together and perform the global horizontal gyratory motion with respect to the fixed central shaft used to be the pivot. One end of the piston rod of each cylinder (40) is pivotally connected with the crank of the central shaft so that the gyration of the cylinder is able to reciprocate the piston inside the cylinder. The intake and exhaust control function can be achieved by the intake-and-exhaust-control rotation base pivotally arranged at the outside of the central shaft. The rotation base is able to perform the relative differential motion with the gyration of the cylinder by the arrangement of the differential components. The transmission rods are used to connect the intake and exhaust valves of each cylinders and the intake-and-exhaust-control cam of the intake-and-exhaust-control rotation base to precisely control the timing of intake and exhaust. The innovative gyratory type engine of the present invention can substantially promote the engine operation efficiency by the gyratory motion of the cylinders. Meanwhile, the centrifugal force generated during the gyration of the cylinders is able to increase the valve closing rate and efficiency, and enhance the valve closing stability.
