Abstract

An apparatus for processing a biochemical sample is applicable in cleaning, separation or purification of biochemical molecules, e.g. DNA, RNA or proteins, etc., in biological laboratories, and includes: at least a semi-permeable membrane through pipe, at least a transfer pipe, and a pneumatic box. These components are assembled together and are joined together by using an airtight material, e.g. an airtight elastic ring. Thus, when the effective air pressure of the semi-permeable membrane through pipe is larger than the air pressure of the pneumatic box, the invented device displays an airtight status. If at this time a liquid specimen is loaded in the semi-permeable membrane through pipe, the pneumatic pressure pushes the liquid in the pipe to go through the special semi-permeable membrane and flow out of the pipe in order to achieve its purpose of use. The invented device is easy in assembly/disassembly compared to a conventional device.
