Abstract

An objective of the present invention is to provide a power source device, for supplying power to computer devices etc., capable of performing power supply with sufficient amount at service interruption and advantageous for economic efficiency due to it's simple structure. The power source device includes a rectifier (2) for rectifying AC voltage supplied from an AC power source, a voltage stabilizing circuit provided with a smoothing capacitor (4) connected to the rectifier and a voltage holding capacitor (6) connected in parallel to the smoothing capacitor through a resistor (8) with a capacitance larger than the smoothing capacitor, a voltage converting circuit (14) for DC-DC converting and stepping-down an output voltage outputted from the voltage stabilizing circuit, and a service interruption detecting circuit (12) for detecting service interruption of the AC power source.
