Abstract
Provided is an electrical unit for a wheel chair with simpler brake and clutch mechanism operable effectively in electrically and mechanically. The clutch mechanism for controlling the connection and disconnection between electrical motor and drive wheel 8 realizes, according to the rotated position of worm wheel 38, either that pin 21 butts against its plate surface to make key member 22 for driving and glove member 26 separated, or that the butted state is released and the key member 22 for driving is moved by driving spring 24 so as to join with the driving groove member 26. The brake mechanism for controlling the connection and disconnection between electrical motor 10 and brake gear 28 also realizes, according to the rotated position of worm wheel 38, either that pin 36 butts against its plate surface to make key member 30 for braking and groove member 33 separated, or that the butted state is released and the key member 30 for braking is moved by spring 34 so as to join with the groove member 33 for braking.
