Abstract
A light guide plate has a cut surface in a corner portion of the light guide plate. The light guide plate includes: an incident surface located at the cut surface, an emitting surface located at the top surface of the light guide plate and adjacent to the incident surface, and a reflecting surface opposited to the eitting surface. A number of curving V-shaped patterns are formed on the reflecting surface. The curving V-shaped patterns extend out of the light guide plate and distribute along many circular arcs. The curving V-shaped patterns have same centre of a circle and their concaves face to the incident surface. Each of the curving V-shaped patterns has a same angle. Farther from the incident surface, a distance between adjacent patterns is smaller and a size of the patterns is larger. A backlight module having the same light guide plate is accordingly provided.
