Abstract
A flame retardant composition using carbon nanocapsules is disclosed, which comprises at least one carbon nanocapsule; and a polymer matrix. The weight percentage of the carbon nanocapsule in the composition of the present invention is 0.1-70. The carbon nanocapsule in the composition of the present invention is hollow nanocapsules, metal filled nanocapsules, hetero-nanocapsules or organically functionalized carbon nanocapsules.
