Abstract

This invention relates to a construction method for precast buckling restrained braces that can be made simply under easy precision control and allow quick installation, using various forms of mold plates to conform with the needs for the changing shapes and cross-sections of axial force members, including: a pair of axial force member that are independent of each other and a pair of binding members. The axial force members are strip-like structures having a T-shaped or an I-shaped configuration, and the terminal cross-sections of the axial force members are greater than that middle cross-section. The axial force members are placed in the binding members and joined to the structural main body by lapping. The binding members are open-slot members of any shape (such as U-shaped, V-shaped, curved-shape or lateral U-shaped members) and are assembled to a strip-like lid to form a tubular binding member and filled with conventional cement members and other materials to prevent the axial members from buckling under pressure..
