Abstract

The present invention relates to a variable valve drive device, an engine and a motorcycle. The cam sprocket (211) is rotated by a drive force transmitted from a crankshaft (130). The eccentric plate (250) is disposed at one end side of the cam sprocket (211) in the direction of the rotating axis of the cam sprocket, and rotated about an axis in the same direction as the rotating axis of the cam sprocket (211). The axis of the eccentric plate (250) is movable from the axis position to the eccentric position of the rotating axis. A variable camshaft (230) is rotated about its rotating axis by the eccentric plate (250). When the eccentric plate (250) rotatingly drives the variable camshaft (230) at the eccentric position, the rotating phase difference thereof from the cam sprocket (211) is cyclically varied. An intake cam block (240) is disposed at the other end side of the cam sprocket (211) in the direction of the rotating axis of the camshaft, and rotated at the same phase as that of the variable camshaft (230) by the variable camshaft (230) to drive an intake valve.
