Abstract

Disclosed is a bi-directional optical transceiver module which uses a single strand optic fiber to complete bi-directional transmission. The module has a light emitting element arranged at a center of a light receiving element so that the centers of both the light receiving element and the light emitting element are located on the optical axis. A ring-shaped beam generator has a light focusing side coupled to the optical fiber and a ring-shaped beam outputting side coupled to the light receiving unit, to enable the excited light of the light emitting element to transmit through the ring-shaped beam generator and then output the light from the focusing side in order to enter into the single fiber. The light is emitted from the single fiber and to go through the ring-shaped beam generator, and then a ring-shaped beam is produced after the light is outputted from the ring-shaped beam outputting side. The ring-shaped beam is received by the light receiving unit. The surface of the light emitting element is installed with a covering lens which is constructed by two lenses of different curvatures to improve the efficiency of the optical transceiver module.
