Abstract

The present invention relates to a wire cut electrical discharge machining (EDM) device and EDM wire electrode and manufacturing method thereof. The EDM device mainly includes a base, a wire electrode, a pair of extrusion rollers, and a pair of particle supply device. The wire electrode is extruded to form a first surface and a second surface by the extrusion rollers. The particle supply device is used to spray a plurality of tiny particles onto the first surface and the second surface such that the first surface and the second surface of the wire electrode are attached with a plurality of tiny particles. While performing electrical discharge, the surface roughness of workpiece to be machined is significantly improved as the surface to be machined is ground by the way. Furthermore, the plural tiny particles upon performing electrical discharge also has the chip-letting effect, and the present invention can carry out the machining of narrow groove having a smaller cutting width.
