Abstract

Provided is a method for manufacturing nanotube by using a high polymer as a raw material and proceeding to an in situ thermal cracking reaction. The method of the present invention is related to that first mix the high polymer, which is used as the raw material, with a metal catalyst by the in situ thermal cracking reaction to make the said high polymer to be carbonized and separate out carbon whereby the carbon nanotube can be manufactured. According to the manufacturing process of this invention, it has advantages of a simple process, a capability of operating at a lower temperature, a low production cost and high safety.
