To provide a plate glass classification-and-management method which classifies plate glass even if a defect such as a flaw exists in the plate glass, ships the plate glass without polishing processing for correcting it or without disposing of it, and enables the plate glass to be efficiently used or commercially available at a shipping destination or in post-processing. A plate glass classification-and-management method is provided with an inspection process which inspects the quality of plate glass and a marking process which applies marking on the plate glass. The data on the quality of the plate glass can be obtained from the marking, and the plate glass is classified and managed based on the quality data.
