Abstract

To terminate an information processing apparatus properly. There is provided a control program for controlling a process for powering off an information processing apparatus. The control program causes the information processing apparatus to function as: a termination process instructing section which instructs to terminate a process running under the control of an operating system of the information processing apparatus as well as the operating system if a power-off instruction for powering off the information processing apparatus is issued; a device initializing section which initializes input/output devices controlled by the operating system in a period after the reception of the power-off instruction and before termination of the operating system; and a power-off setting section which powers off the information processing apparatus in response to termination of the operating system.
