Abstract
The ultrasonic sensor (50) used for an obstacle sensor such as a back sonar and a corner sonar of an automobile capable of providing stable product characteristics by increasing the positional accuracy of a piezoelectric vibrator relative to a bottomed tubular case and suppressing product cost, comprising the bottomed tubular case (1), a first metal member (2), the piezoelectric vibrator (3), and a second metal member (4). Also, a first elastic resin (5) and a second elastic resin (6) are filled in the bottomed tubular case (1). The first metal member (2) comprises a metal flat surface part at one end and a first metal terminal (8) at the other end. The piezoelectric vibrator (3) having electrodes formed on the first and second principal planes thereof (not shown) is so formed that the first principal plane thereof is stuck on one surface of the metal flat surface part (7). Also, the metal flat surface part (7) is so formed that the other surface thereof is stuck on the bottom surface part of the bottomed tubular case (1). In addition, the second metal member (4) comprises a second metal terminal (9) which is stuck on the second principal plane of the piezoelectric vibrator (3).
