Abstract

This invention provides a fastener 1 having a pair of male and female engaging members 4, 5 for opening/closing an opening of an attached body and a pair of tapes 2, 3 attached to the attached body and openable to the left and right, wherein one 2 of the tapes 2, 3 has a magnetic circuit including an electromagnetic coil 10 for engaging/disengaging the pair of male and female engaging members 4, 5, and the other coil 3 has an electromagnetic coil 10 or a magnetic member 16. The coupling force by the magnetic force of the magnet coil 10 and the mechanical engaging force by the engaging members 4, 5 yield the coupling force of the fastener 1. Even if the pair of engaging members 4, 5 constitutes a structure including an engaging portion composed of projections and recesses, the pair of engaging members 4, 5 can be engaged/disengaged by the magnetic action of the electromagnetic coil 10 owing to the voltage and current flowing through the magnetic circuit without exerting an outside force to open/close the fastener 1.
